Question: Do you enjoy making new technology? What is the favourite thing you have done?

I must admit, I generally don’t make new technology, but instead I use technology in a different way or push the boundaries of the technology. That’s one thing an engineer does very well, takes his or her knowledge and applies it in a different way to a different situation. Can you think of any times you’ve done that at school?

I love coming up with new designs though and creating a new solution to a problem. My favourite design recently is a new power pack for my underwater robots. It allows the robot to power all the tools separately from the rest of its equipment, but it’s very small and cool looking. Think of it like Iron Man’s Arc reactor!
