Does anyone actually LIKE studying? If so, I haven’t met them. I can be quite disciplined with myself when it comes to studying as I’ve always known I wanted a good job with a good salary that will let me have a good lifestyle, and I was willing to work as hard as it took to get that. It’s all about knowing what your end goal is, and why it’s worth putting the effort in. That’s where I get my motivation.
There’s a well known phrase, “Nothing is certain but death and taxes”…I reckon that that should be expanded to include studying!!
Studying is an inevitable but it’s worth putting in the work for the rewards later on, and I think I knew that all through my education, it really was a means to an end. I know a lot of my pals wished they’d stuck with the studying at school as they’re now having to go back and do more whilst juggling a job and other demands of life too!
I actually liked studying – except for 1-2 subjects (but that was m ore due to the lecturer)! I went through the lecture slides again in the evenings, but nevertheless, when it came to the exam preparation I had the very same problem every semester: preparing for the exam by looking at previous ones and write an officially allowed cheat sheet just 1 week before the exam. I would not recommend that! For my last exam at uni I had only 3 hours of sleep as I had to rewrite my cheat sheet. :/ (and I should say I get grumpy if I don’t have enough sleep (and food!)!)
I never liked study but I knew if I wanted to be an engineer I had to do it so I worked hard have a lot of courses under my belt I just need a degree next to further myself lol
