Did you prefer any of your other jobs better than a space engineer ?

Question: Did you prefer any of your other jobs better than a space engineer ?

  When I was much younger (primary school) I wanted to work with animals and be a horse riding instructor. As I learnt more about science and got to do Design Technology at secondary school I got more interested in building and designing things, which is why I picked engineering. I do think outer space is just amazing though and would love to go into space myself, so I would like a chance to be an astronaut but I really enjoy the job I do now.

I really liked my early career work running instrument campaigns on Svalbard and running an observatory in the outback… but neither of those would be compatible with my life as a father… so no, this is the best job for me now.
