• Question: was anyone else in your family an engineer?

      Yes, my Dad is an engineer and so was my granddad. We all work in different types of engineering; I do Aerospace engineering, my Dad does Manufacturing (for trains) and my Granddad did mostly Design work as a consultant. I was the first one in my family to get an engineering degree.

    My father was an engineer. In addition, two of my nephews are also engineers — my father was their grandfather so he probably influenced all of us.

    Yes I come from a whole family of engineers,one of my gradnfathers way a railway engineer, the other one a Motor Mechanic, my father was a mechanical fitter and worked in Power stations and my brother is a software engineer

    Nobody in my family is an engineer. It was a bit of a leap of faith on my behalf that I would like it and that I would be able to do it, as I didn’t know anyone else who was an engineer to be able to get more guidance or advice. i did a LOT of research.
