• Question: Do you think there is other life form on different planets?

      I find it hard to believe that there isn’t!
      There are so many different types of lifeforms all over the Earth, living in all sorts of weird conditions: deep within ice, right near sulpher rich, non-oxygenated water, I can’t think of more examples! How can there not be something somewhere else?!
      Although, those different planets could be not in our solar system.

      Yes, definitely – as Katie said, the Earth provides lots of environments which would be similar to those on other planets, ones we wouldn’t be able to live on, but we find life everywhere. There’s a theory called panspermia which suggests that life may be spread through the universe on the backs of comets and meteors. Microbes might survive conditions in space and if they land on a suitable planet could start to reproduce. So even if there’s not life on planets yet – it could be floating around in space just waiting for the right home.

      Yes I believe there is, somewhere. My dad once told me, ask yourself the question ‘is there other life in the universe?’ Either a yes or no has massive implications on the world. A No means we are truly alone in the universe, the whole entirety of the universe and we are the only living things with conscience, that’s a very big statement. Or how about a Yes? Well then, who are they? What are they? How sophisticated is their science? Are they peaceful? Do they know we are here? – very interesting questions.
