• Question: How hard was it to build your first invention and why?

      I don’t think of myself as inventing things, but then I do come up with new ways of doing things, so perhaps that could be a kind of invention. I also work as part of a team, sometimes there are more Thermal analysts, there are always people from different specialities though. We come up with something new, but it’s using the methods we already know and thinking how to use them differently.

      I don’t tend to invent things where I work, although I do design things to work in a certain, sometimes new, way. This can be hard enough – I can’t imagine how hard it must be to come up with a totally new invention that has never before been seen!
