I was very much on the fence about engineering when I went to apply for Uni. I choose it in the end because I couldn’t get the image of working in the Space industry out of my head. I thought it was the coolest and most challenging thing I could do, so here I am!
I really wanted to be an Air Traffic Controller – I applied twice but didn’t get it, the test are really hard! so i did aerospace engineering as a back up plan, but once i graduated from uni, I ended up loving the engineering life, and now I work with Air Traffic Controllers, training them on our products so I’ve got as close as I can to my original goal.
Before I was shown the world of engineering and the endless possibilities with it, I was really considering doing dance or music as a job. I decided to do engineering because I had a science teacher who told me I would never be able to do any science of any sort so I wanted to prove her wrong. And when I started looking at the world of physics, I realised I had a real interest for it and wanted to prove to the teacher that I could do it! And this is how I am here now 😀 And I love every moment of it:D
