2 Question: Does light have mass? Keywords: light, mass, physics Asked by Samuel to Samuel, Robson, Reshma, K-Jo, Alison on 6 Nov 2018.
Robson Witts answered on 6 Nov 2018:
Light is a sub-atomic energy and therefore has no mass, hence why it travels so quickly.

The short answer is no!
But it does depend on how you define mass… When you start thinking about things like special relativity, Physics can get quite weird!
K-Jo O'Flynn answered on 6 Nov 2018:
Light has no mass. Light is made of photons which has energy and momentum but no mass:D
Reshma Vora answered on 6 Nov 2018:
I think the other engineers have answered this very well – so I’ll just say no 🙂
