It’s a serious job making things that people really benefit from… But that doesn’t make it not fun 😛
I chose this job because it uses Physics, involves super exciting space things, and is all about ‘big data’ and teaching computers to learn and discover things no one else has done before.
My working hours are pretty typical for an office job – and the working hours fly by way too quickly 🙂
It’s both really! We have to be serious a lot of the time as there’s a lot of things to design, make and solve in such little time because of deadlines. It’s also fun though because Oxford Space Systems is like a small family and we all get on well with each other and we sometimes have days out with each other. Its also fun because once we finish a project, we all become so happy and that’s the brilliant fun part, knowing we are making stuff to benefit the world:D I chose this job because I wanted to make things for space and in all honesty, it sounded really cool:D Not really, even though I do work long hours, they go so quickly because there’s always new challenges everyday so it never becomes boring:D
It’s both – you have fun times but you have to be serious at time to get the job done as well. We have a social committee which I’m part of and it’s our job to make sure that every month has a social event to bring everyone together. but of course the work needs to be done too! The hours for working are really good tbh, 7 and half hours a day, and I can choose when I start and finish. A lot of people have home responsibilities which allow them to go home early but carry on working from home. Generally the company is very understanding and accommodating
