I realised my passion for engineering when I was in year 10, when I did my work experience with S.T.E.M. ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Mechanical ). It was mainly the process of signing up for the S.T.E.M. experience as I had to ask my physics teacher for a personal statement of what I was like in school. He had a lot of hope for me and gave me so much motivation for engineering and he explained the world of engineering to me. He asked me what engineering background I had and I said “The only thing I ever resembled to engineering was jigsaws with my dad and learning about the stars”. He said if I apply the idea of jigsaws to engineering, I could do anything in engineering From that day on, the passion for engineering clicked in my head.
I realised my passion for engineering at a very young age, like primary school kinda age. I simply loved making stuff especially when in year 4 we had to make a vehicle for roaming the north pole, so I worked with my dad and made this car out of sheet metal and wooden wheels. It took me a long time to find out what field of engineering I liked, but it all started from little me wanting to make stuff.
