I can specify a computer system – i.e. decide what machines to buy and how they are arranged into a cluster. That’s part of what I do for Plato. I could, in principle, assemble those computers from parts, but generally it’s better to buy them ready-made. If I build the machines myself, I have to mend them when they break, and computer clusters break often. If we buy ready-made computers, then we can also buy a contract for somebody else to mend them, and that leaves my time free for more interesting things.

Yes I can design and build a computer no bother.
