I absolutely love what I do. It’s really fun, hugely exciting and most of all… very challenging. The area of science I work in, gravitational waves, is (in my opinion) the most exciting area in maths/physics right now! We managed to detect the warping of the universe (how it moves up and down essentially) a few years ago. By detecting these “up and down motions” we are able to learn very new things about extreme astrophysical objects such as black holes and neutron stars which we never could before. Words cannot describe how much I love working in science and maths. I work together with really fun people like Christine and I get the opportunity to teach younger students maths and physics at university. Get into gravitational waves… loads of jobs in the field!
