      This is actually quite a difficult question to answer. The observable universe (what we can see) is approximately 13.8 billion years old. That is, 13,800,000,000 years old. This is the time from the start of the universe (the big bang!) to the time right now. However, we have no proper answer to how old the universe is as a whole (the bit past the observable part).
