I’m going to be really boring here and say Earth- the other planets in our solar system aren’t very hospitable to humans: Venus has scorching hot temperatures and a completely toxic atmosphere, and gas giants like Saturn don’t even have a surface that we could stand on.
There are some interesting planets around other stars that look like they might make a good second home for humans, but I’m going to wait until we know a bit more about them before I pack my suitcase.
One thing I think would be really cool, is that if we moved outside of the solar system, we might be in a place with two suns so you could have multiple sunsets. NASA did a bunch of cool mock travel posters that illustrate how interesting life could be travelling to other planets, they’re available here:
I agree with Christine. I would live on earth, it’s perfect for us.
Mars – We would roast.
Venus – We would roast, suffocate (poisonous gasses) and be crushed to a pulp.
Earth – We can get ice-cream and chill. Life is good here, enjoy it!
Mars – Mars has no magnetic field which implies that it would be battered by asteroids. Also, there are really strong sandstorms which last for days on Mars. It’s also very cold!
Jupiter – This is a gas giant… we couldn’t stand on the surface. We would fall in!
Saturn – Same story as Jupiter… although, fun fact: If we had a large enough ocean then Saturn would float on it =).
Uranus – This is the coldest planet in our solar system. We would freeze instantly if we were placed on this planet.
Neptune – Crazy winds, we would be blown away by winds at 900mph… imagine building a tree house on Neptune?
Pluto – Not really a planet anymore, now a dwarf planet. Far too cold!!
