• Question: In the future do you think we should stay on earth or go to another planet?

      In a very long time, I reckon that we will no longer live on the Earth and will have moved to a different planet. For the human race to exist, we must change planets within roughly 1 billion years or the sun will expand and destroy the planet.

      I am absolutely certain that within the next 2000 years we will have moved to a different planet. We are already searching for planets we could live on right now which is a very difficult task. It’s incredible how perfect our planet is. Right now we are fine to stay on the Earth but in the future we will absolutely 100% consider changing to a different planet.

    If they find a planet that can sustain human life and it is technically possible to get there, why not!

    One billion years to leave Earth is a very long time. Humanity is only about a quarter of a million years old. The “us” that finally leaves Earth may be very different.

    I think that long before we live on other planets – especially planets around other stars – we will live between planets, in space stations. Sun expands? No problem: just move the station outward!
