      I came up with the idea of a micro-autonomous robot that can be used to place small pick-off mirrors precisely.

      The control software I built for some telescopes in the Canary Islands. I did it a long time ago – back in the 1990s – but it’s still in use because people like to use it. A colleague paid me a lovely comment last night, saying that of all the big, digital cameras he’s used in astronomy (and he’s used most of them) the one with my software is the easiest to use.
