Earth, definitely. Wouldn’t take a holiday anywhere else. 🙂

The other inner-system planets are great to explore but the robots can do that and I don’t see the point of sending people to Mars. If I want a sandy wasteland with no atmosphere I can get one in Tucson and the beer’s better there.

The giant planets Jupiter and Saturn are the fascinating ones because they change so fast (compared to the lifetimes of stars and rocky planets). The great red spot on Jupiter is a storm *bigger than Earth* and it’s probably only lasted a couple of hundred years; it’ll be gone in the next 20 years or so. Saturn’s rings, which are utterly vast, may be only as old as the dinosaurs. The idea that something so big can change so quickly amazes me.

Probably Mars. I guess this is because scientists and engineers are actually seriously talking about going there!
