• Question: have you ever had any other jobs?

      The other jobs I’ve had are on my profile but to sum up: Waiter/Bartender/Student then Software Engineer.

      I did waitressing and bartending to support myself during university. Other than that I did work placements within engineering consultancy firms.

      My job now is my third since I left university – I started off as a Production Engineer in a Brewery. I then spent 2 years working for an IT company and then I joined the Royal Navy 4 years ago.

      All my jobs have been completely different, which just goes to show how many different things you can do in engineering!

      Not as an engineer but previously I have worked in a fish and chip shop, an Oxfam store and as an undergraduate researcher.

      Hey Branflakes123,

      When i left school, I started a Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering before moving on to the RAF and then on to my present job in Dubai. I’ve never worked outside of engineering since leaving school so i suppose you could say that engineering is my life!!
