Question: how do you keep safe whilst using those dangerous equipment?

The ships has been designed so that people can be safe inside while the dangerous things are mostly on the outside.

Sometimes though, we have to do things that are more dangerous than normal (perhaps do some work up the mast on a radar) and we have something called a Safe System of Work. The system is a way of checking all the things that could be dangerous to a person are turned off, and can’t accidentally be turned back on (for most things we have keys which disable the power or another key part of the equipment and prevent it from being used)

Our main concern for everything we do is the safety of our people!
