• Question: Is the main aim of the Boeing C17 Globemaster to transprot cargo and does it have other uses?

      Hello Meganl56,

      The C17 aircraft has many uses – It can be used to carry tanks and trucks and also 156 passengers. One of the other uses it has is that it can be transformed in to a flying hospital. About two years ago, Channel 4 filmed a documentary about the C17 and its role as a hospital ( http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-air-hospital/4od ).

      The C17 is a brilliant aircraft that can do things that other can’t – this is what makes my job so interesting!
