Question: what is the hardest day you ever had

Wow, that really had me thinking!

There are a few which are up there! One of the hardest was just after I started my job just over a year ago. My boss and I started work on the same day, so we spent a bit of time learning together….. and we certainly did some learning in our first couple of weeks!

I remember we had been at sea for about 10 days doing training with our Towed Array Sonar and a real submarine. We had only just replaced the Sonar and had been tracking a submarine around when one by one all of our communications systems stopped working too…. thinking that was bad (and it was!), that night we lost 2 of our Radars too!

I think it was at that point, the boss and I wondered if anything else could go wrong! Fortunately there were some very helpful people waiting in Plymouth for us when we came into harbour and they set to work as soon as they could to help us restore our equipment back to full working order!
