Maths. To be an engineer you have to be able to do maths even if you hate it and you have to force yourself to do it. It’ll teach you to think logically, to work through problems in steps. You’ll almost certainly be using numbers in some form in your day to day if you’re an engineer.

For me it was Physics – probably because it involved more than just numbers! You can think of it as applied Mathswith some English thrown, because there is always some equation to explain what’s going on and then some sort of conclusion to write. Overally, (in my opinion) it is was more interesting than Maths!

      Hello tonyyyg99,

Lots of subjects are useful to engineering and i dont think any particular subject is more important than another? Maths, Science, Design & Technology and English are all very important in their own right. I use all of these subjects every day so i’d say that they’re all important!
