• Question: are engineers weird?

      Hi Claudz: Nice talking to you this morning. Your question has had me wondering if engineers are any more weird than the pupils with whom we have had our live-chats. What do you think !?

      To be serious for a moment, there have been times when I have been hiding to avoid the bullets in a conflict situation, when I ask myself if I am being sensible (or weird) – but then I look around me and see what the communities are suffering from the conflict and I know that I am doing the right thing.

      I wouldn’t say they are weird. Most engineers are geeky about their subject, that is true.

      I’ve had to return to this because I really wanted to draw a graph as part of my answer to a previous question. Is it weird that I love graphs? I feel lighter now I have made that confession 🙂

      Personally I think anyone who loves graphs, may be just a little weird!!

      I’ve met a few weird engineers, but I’ve also met quite a few weird people in lots of other jobs, so I don’t think it is true that all engineers are weird.
