• Question: Did you meet people through your job? Is it good socially to do?

      Yes. I meet a lot of people and mostly they are nice folk. Since I started the job at the dockyard I got back into playing football which I didn’t do for ten years or so, which is really good. I also had a few great nights out with the people that I work with.

      Hi there, Charlotte: Yes, I did meet loads of people but when you are a foreigner in a country, it can be very difficult to meet people socially if you don’t speak their language fluently. However, I still socialise with a number of my work colleagues if I happen to be in their part of the world.

      Yes definitely – I work in a large organisation so there are a lot of people who are a similar age to me that I socialise with.

      I also meet people from other companies and organisations that I often end up being friends with. It’s probably as social as I make it! There can come a time when you feel you’ve got too many friends to be able to maintain a friendship with them all and so you start to try and not make any more friends!!
