@lily: Absolutely not. I learned quite early that providing you passed your exams, it was not the grades that you received that got you the job, it was what you could do with your knowledge. Rather, I would spend the time learning another language or two, and would travel to widen my experience.
No. My scores were not perfect (A, B, C) but got me into the uni I wanted and since then I have done pretty well at my degree and got a job that I like, so don’t think the A-levels matter to me now.
I worked really hard when I did my A’levels and I don’t think it would be possible for me to get a better score. In fact now that I’m older, I’d probably get a worse score if I did them now!!
When I did my A’levels I had no idea what I wanted to do in a job and thought that maybe I’d be a politician. If I could have known that I would love engineering then I might have made different choices – but in the end I have ended up as an engineer and done qualifications recently whilst I was working.
No way! I didn’t do that well in my A-levels because there was so much other stuff going on at the time but I got into university and after you have a degree nobody thinks about your A-levels.
I agree with Ken, if I had time to spare and wanted to study more langages are probably what is most valuable.
