I guess rock star, secret agent, film director or RAF paratrooper is cool. Don’t think an engineer is in the same way.
Well if you are an engineer on a strategic nuclear sub or F1 racing team it is probably closer to cool.
However this is all very childish assessment of coolness. And in a grown up world engineers often get to work with a lot of cool stuff. You can just look at people’s profiles for examples.
Not when the air temperature hits 55 degrees Celsius ! It gets so hot in southern Iran (at Abadan) that in summer, no commercial aircraft are allowed to take off after 10:00am. This is to avoid spontaneous combustion of the aviation fuel which can take place above around 50 degrees Celsius. So, Chris may be cool but I was rarely so.
Rockybudd if you could define cool for me that would help!
I don’t think I attract many women just by being an engineer, but I do manage to make people envious of my job as it is really good fun where I get to do stuff that you couldn’t do in a lot of other jobs!
We definitely get some cool toys to play with. But in a previous question I have already admitted my love of graphs and a good simultaneous equation sends shivers down my spine. You decide if that’s cool.
