I will give the money to Raleigh International to put towards building new water supply systems in Nicaragua. They also offer trips for young people (17-24 yrs) to go out to places like Nicaragua and help build the water systems (or work with turtles, climb volcanos and lots of other cool stuff). I’m not sure what the overall cost is as the project has been running for years, so the £500 would help keep it going. My guess would be that it will bring new taps with fresh water to about 100 people.
@picky13: The short answer is that if you mean the project to make equipment for education in Cornwall, I simply don’t know. I would have to discuss it with the people who would make the devices for me. I imagine that I will use all of the £500 (if I win) and then some more. If I don’t use all of the £500, what I don’t use will be returned.
By the way, I see that you aspire to being a NASA person. You might want to look in the High Performance Zone at Rain Irshad’s profile even though you can’t ask her any questions. She also wanted to be an astronaut – but was too short !
