• Question: What is the most enjoyable thing you have done in the last year?

      Sharing with some classes in a Cornish school, my fascination for water, and being allowed – officially – to flood the classrooms.

      Well, actually, I come equipped to ensure that we don’t suffer another Boscastle event in the classrooms, but I have been known to fire my water gun right across the room to demonstrate what two non-return valves can do. The best thing of all is the whoops of delight when I produce the water gun as virtually everyone knows exactly what it is – and they love doing what is normally forbidden, during an official class.

      I had a great trip to New Zealand. It was wonderful time and a trip of firsts for me and my girlfriend: first campervan holiday, first swim with dolphins, first bungy jump, first skydive, first ice-climing experience, first kayak, first fjord.

      Definitely my trip to Costa Rica and Nicaragua… check out my profile. I saw all kinds of wildlife, stunning volcanoes and also did some water engineering that was a unique experience for me.

      Oh and I also had a baby last year, so it was quite an eventful year overall!
