I started in water engineering because water is so fundamental to life and I really like water. When I did my training I discovered that treating dirty water is much more interesting and varied so I chose to pursue that.
More recently, I have been getting involved with the sludge side of things, which is basically the solids that get separated from wastewater and increasingly these are being used to generate green energy, ,which appeals to the hippy in me who wants to save the world.
