This is a really important question for anyone considering being even remotely involved with the military and it all comes down to your personal views and what you’re comfortable with.
The defense industry (which I’m part of) covers a lot of different areas. It can range from radios which allow army troops to talk to each other to weapons systems which control the release of bombs and then the weapons manufacturers themselves.
There are then other industries which are involved in stuff for the military such as uniforms for soldiers or seats for tanks/jets etc. Some people might not even want to be involved if they knew they were working on something like that.
Everyone draws the line somewhere with what they’re comfortable with and what they’re happy working on. It’s all about figuring out where that boundary is and making sure you stick to it.
