• Question: What qualities in a person do you think are best for engineering?

      I think the qualities needed to become a good engineer are an inquisitive mind, good lateral thinking and perseverance. You need to want to solve a problem to start with, rather than just leaving it to someone else, hence the inquisitive mind. You need to be able to think differently, i.e. laterally. You also need to not give up, just because the answer is not easy – perseverance.
      With those qualities, you will get a long way as an engineer.

      To be hard working and to preserver when things seem to be too difficult.
