Question: when did you have the big break through

Depends what you term as the big breakthrough. I have had several breakthroughs technically, when I have got something to work properly after spending days, weeks or even months trying. Professionally, I have had a number of breakthroughs, gaining my Chartership, then being made a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, getting various jobs at different stages of my career – these could all be classed as breakthroughs.
