Nope. At school, I just thought that engineers worked on cars. I had no idea how many different types of engineering there were and everything that was affected by it.
I’m still learning about new types of engineering, even now!
I’ve always been interested in engineering, but was not aware at school just how many different aspects of engineering there are. I’ve worked in quite a few areas now, but there are new subjects starting up all the time. As an example, students today can’t believe that when I was at school, the calculator had not been invented, never mind the PC, tablet or mobile phone!
No, I though being a lawyer would be cool at school but then got more interested in space and though it was more exciting so that drove me to study engineering rather than law.
