I wouldn’t say that my cause matters over any other engineers. We all have a part to play, and we each have our own objectives. Ultimately, we are all here to solve problems, and there are more than enough problems to go round.
If you are referring to the cause of the prize money, I think that you would find that again, we are all in general agreement that our causes are the same, to help to promote engineering to young people – that is why we are volunteering to take part in this event. I know it’s a cliche, but it really is the taking part that counts, not the winning. If by doing this, I can help a few others to decide to become engineers, I have succeeded, and that is what counts.

I don’t think it does, every part of engineering is different and they all play a part in our lives.

It doesn’t – I’m sure all of the engineers would put the prize money to good use. I think the fact that we’re all involved in this event means that we care enough to put the money to good use.

all causes for outreach to get more people involved in engineering matter. I am happy this money is being made available for kids in the first place.
