• Question: At what age did you decide to be an engineer?

      Hi 444amph45,

      Good question. This was very late for me at age 34. Because I wanted to be a medical doctor,when that didn’t work out because i didn’t get into medical school, i did my degree in electronics and maths. Then I worked for a while as a teacher and then decided to combine my teaching with my engineering skills.

      I was about 13 when I decided I would like to be an engineer. I went to a careers fair at school and spoke to some engineers and it seemed like fun!

      When I was about 13-14, I realised that’s what I wanted to do!
