I normally work around 8 hours per day, so pretty standard. Some days are busier than others, so if I’m close to a deadline, I would work quite hard and then relax a bit the following weeks. So it all depends! My supervisors are very flexible with this.
I normally get into work around 8am. I typically work until between 6 and 7pm. If i am on site it could be much later. It really depends on what is going on at the time. I do not have set hours in my contract so i work until a point in the day when i feel comfortable with where i am.
On the flip side, if i needed to take a long lunch break for some reason, i would not feel guilty about it. As long as i am getting my work done then things are pretty flexible. I run my own sites so in theory i could please myself but i would soon be out of a job if i wasn’t delivering results for the company.
I start work at 08:30 have an hour for lunch and finish at 5pm. Sometimes I have a longer lunch hour as I have a running club at work. Sometimes I work later maybe an hour or so. About once or twice a year I work really late maybe until midnight or later. If that happens my boss pays for a hotel! Sometimes I work from home which means I don’t have to drive to work.
Today I drove to another office for meetings. I left home at 8am and got home at 6pm but it did mean I got an extra half an hour in bed as I normally leave at half past seven.
