Question: I want to be a doctor but I am also very interested in physics and technology. therefore is there a way that I am able to combine the two proffessions ?

Of course! Have you heard of Biomedical Engineering? They basically do the engineering behind medical procedures (from manufacturing equipment to thinking about surgical procedures).

I have a friend that works as a researcher in Biomedical Engineering. His work consists of a cancer surgery that consists of applying a very high voltage to tumors and burn them. You can probably imagine how much engineering goes behind it. They have the design the needles they use, the electrical wires that deliver the current to the needles, etc. The wires need to be bio-compatible and extremely safe as they would be in contact with the human body, etc. Of course, he doesn’t perform the surgery himself as he is not a medical doctor. But, since he is the expert engineer, he gets invited to surgeries in case something goes wrong and needs repair.
