I have no idea but to have an educated guess i would say that given the worlds population is circa 7 billion but only circa 1 billion are in developed countries and if i assumed that not everyone has a car but some people have more than one………..maybe 750 million?
I would say around 500 million cars? I don’t think there is that many as others becuase lots of countries have very few cars. Some places in Asia actually use more motorbikes (my friend lives in Vietnam and he uses a motorbike everywhere) . Hopefully the number of cars will decrease as most cars are only being used about 2% of the time. If we can get cars to be shared better we can reduce the environmental impact on car building whilst allowing people to get around just as conveniently.
This is a question where you can only use assumptions!
I would estimate this to be about a billion cars. Most of the world does not have access to cars especially in the most populous countries. Thus, this would be a good estimate. I hope!
