The variety in my job keeps it interesting. One day i could be sat in a detailed design meeting all day making decisions on the way forward with a particular work area. Another day i could be out on site talking through health and safety issues with the workforce. As my job is centered around treatment of water it is heavily chemistry and biology related in addition to the obvious maths and physics. There are new technologies being developed all the time utilising nature so you are always learning.

I think the fact that I get to solve a new problem every day, and those problems may or may not have been solved before. Sometimes my supervisors don’t even know the answer. Even though this could be a bit frustrating as some of the things you do to try to solve these problems don’t work, it is very rewarding when you do. At the end, it is all worth it!

I think Zoe and Andres have said it right. It is the variety and solving problems. I also like working with different people and technologies!
