• Question: What would you have to take in GCSE to be an engineer?

      I would say Maths and Sciences always help especially physics, As well as English and anything else you enjoy.

      Maths would be essential and i would suggest physics and any technology type subjects would be useful. Geography would be good from a social engineering point of view. Chemistry and biology are always useful depending on what type of engineering you would want to specialise in.

      Hi Cruiky 2005,

      As an overseas person, I didn’t really do GCSE as I didn’t study in the UK, so I may not fully understand what your options are. However, I’d say: take as much maths as possible, and a good share of physics and chemistry.
