0 Question: Why do your ears hurt when you're landing or taking off in a plane? Keywords: aeroplane, ear Asked by cutiepy6675 to Emma on 11 Mar 2017.
Emma Ryan answered on 11 Mar 2017:
It’s the change of pressure in your ear; lots of pressure is put on your ear drum. If you suck on a sweet or move your jaw, air goes into your ear so there’s less of a change of pressure and it doesn’t hurt.
