  sorry it’s taken so long to get to your question – there have been so many Q’s today 🙂
  Good GSCE’s in science/maths/type subjects, help, as do related A-Levels, if aiming for an appreticeship.
  aiming higher ? a good Uni course will be handy, a degree isn’t an instant meal ticket though, employers like experience, so try and find a mix, maybe do some learning after school, with a gap year in industry ? or building schools in a needy country would be a good thing on your CV

What do you think about apprenticeships? Is that a better way since you can mix up experience with theoretical education? What kind of organizations offer engineering apprenticeship?
