If I am showing a prospective apprentice around site the main thing I am looking for is enthusiasm. They should be naturally inquisitive about everything, ‘what does that do?’ ‘how was that made?’ etc. It is also good to show that you like working with your hands and making things or finding out how they work. You aren’t expected to know everything coming into the apprenticeship, it is there to teach you, but you do have to really want to learn.

rattyvlogger’s back with another good question !
I’d go for calmness. that’s usefull so you don’t panic when the pressure’s on.
Logical thinking’s good too, ” if this does that, what happens if it does this ? ”
communications+ how to deal with people are also important skills – if you tell the customer to errr… “go away”…. you’ll soon have no customers, which means no wages quite quickly.
and finally … being able to accept that “my way” isn’t always the best way. so you know when to back down +accept someone else’s way of doing a task could be better/safer/cheaper/nicer.

Firstly the person must show an interest in the field. if the are not interested then its completely pointless.
being enthusiastic also helps, as well as being a good communicator and being able to work well on your own or as part of a team.

      thanks
