Currently, I check the drawings from the designer, help order materials and equipment, help set up a safe system of working, I have meetings to tell the designers what will and won’t work on site (design wise), go on site with the team on the train and check they know what they are doing with the supervisor, then I report the as built information back to the designers. If there are any issues on site I will problem solve or raise the questions with the designers if required. To check the positions I use a distometer to get the bolts positions from the rail, the height and depth of the foundations, collect GPS coordinates to tell them exactly where the foundations is and also check how vertical the foundation is using an inclonometer. Then I take photo’s of the finished foundation.
