yes i would recommend being an engineer to anyone. you dont have to be fast at doing things, you take your time and think things out. i would say you have an analytical mind which means you dont just rush in you sit back and think things over. this is a positive strength to have because you can just rush in and build a bridge or a building any way you like, like with lego. you have to look at it carefully and take your time to ensure that it works properly.

There are a lot of different people in engineering. It is always good to have someone who takes their time and is careful about what they are doing. There are plenty of skills that you can bring to the table, not everything has to be done as quick as possible and it is better to be safe than sorry. It may be that you save someone a lot of trouble if you can influence them to slow down and think about what they are doing by being the slower person.

Agree with both Ruth + Claire, being slower often saves time in the long run – as you have thought about what you are doing more. Helps keep your job longer too ! as you can think about what you are about to say next 🙂 and that way you will be seen to be as clever as you really are.

Are scholarships available in the field of engineering? Some of the top universities in engineering are in USA so would you recommend anyone moving there to study?
