• Question: what are the hands made of,how did you make them?

      The hands I use are made of plastic, either Polylactic acid (PLA) or nylon. I use 3D printing to make these hands. The particular processes I use are called Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

      FDM: uses a hot nozzle to melt a filament material and deposit where it is needed to build an object.

      SLS: uses a high powered laser to melt a cross section of powdered material.
