Question: Because you are designing needles which will hurt less when inserted into the body, do you think you could make cancer treatment less painful for cancer patients?

  In theory yes. The changing of the surface properties could be used for any sort of needles or metals. However, the basis for the idea is for vaccination needles because these are commonly coming with the pre-filled syringes. So it would be easier to coat and the lasting time again will be longer.
  
  But one step at a time and you never know the idea could be used for other medical devices too such as laparoscopic surgery.
