Honestly, that kind of stuff doesn’t bother me too much these days – when I first started out it was a bit freaky though!
I can remember going into the dissection room at the University of Bristol – this is where people who want to become doctors learn about medicine by looking at human bodies (those people had donated their body to science) and I was a little frightened about what I would see. It was definitely weird, but once you get used to it then it’s not a big deal really – people even eat their lunch in the dissection room! There is nothing to fear from a dead body, and we always treat them with great respect.
