  I probably will never be able to help development a mechanical heart. I have specialised in hand prosthetics and I don’t see myself changing fields any time soon. On the bright side, the person sitting opposite me in the office is developing custom 3D printing heart valves. So whilst I can’t help directly, I can offer advise when it comes to mechanical design.
