      Hi Grace,

Artificial teeth can be made in lots of ways.
The way that it is done by my colleagues is they take a scan of the teeth they want to replace, then they use a metal 3D printer to print the teeth in a metal called titanium and then once they are printed they dip them in either a very hard plastic or a type of glass to get the white outer coating.

      Best wishes,
      Sophie

For the butler robot that I am making, the teeth are made out of simple cheap plastic, because I know that the robot will not use its teeth 🙂

Human teeth are made up of several layers with the hardest outer layer being the enamel. If you eat too much sugar this enamel starts dissolving exposing the inside of the tooth to damage.
